He has been doing the rounds (Iowa, etc) and pressing the flesh (buddying up with the folks you need to, in order to get the nomination, such as Ralph Reed and other religious "leaders"). It is a bit doubtful that he will win, given his history of being pro-choice, pro-gay, not to forget appering in drag on Saturday Night Live ;-). McCain who has already been down this road has a better chance, but I think these things are decided elsewhere by the sponsors of the party.
